BACP Qualified Counsellor

After 15 years of teaching, I decided to take my passion for pastoral care further and become a qualified counsellor. I work from a person-centered perspective but draw upon other modalities where appropriate to provide an individual approach.

I aim to provide a safe, welcoming and gentle space where you can express your thoughts and feelings in a supportive, non judgemental environment.  I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Wendy Bennett

We all have different experiences that shape our lives. Sometimes life can put challenges in the way of happiness. Throughout our lives we all may experience things such as anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, stress and question why these things happen to us.

Often the hardest step is seeking help to begin with, you have already shown great courage by acknowledging the need for support. Throughout our sessions we will aim to explore how you can feel more control and coping strategies to build resilience to deal with life's challenges.

In order to provide the best possible support, I continue to seek professional development through reading and training. My most recent training enabled me to work with teenagers who had suffered a bereavement. I also use these skills to support St Michaels Hospice as one of their bereavement counsellors.
